[Vivaldi] Mandolin Concerto in C Major – 1st Movement

With the dearest Father André Đương and some of my favorite people practicing this classic piece for the closing ceremony of the 2018-2019 school year on May 31st, 2019 in Lasalle Mai Thôn.

This video was recorded 2 days before the performance:

We were thrilled that Father chose this piece for us mere beginners, especially the “mandolin gang”, because for most of us, it is the first mandolin we’ve had. We had been working on this for 2 months, with group practice every Tuesday at lunch time (my gratitude and apology to our Lasallian freres for your kindness and endurance.)

Father was excited, and he was really happy that we played without making any audible mistakes during our performance at the ceremony. We, too, were happy.

It’s lovely that the school year of Lasalle Mai Thôn is going to begin soon (though I wouldn’t take classes there anymore), because I truly am looking forward to getting back with the improvised music class with “Professor Đương”.

And, for whatever Nhóm nhạc của Cha Đương strives, may we always thrive!
